Guidewire validated it as Ready for Guidewire and announced it in the Guidewire Marketplace on August 11, 2021. It drove 3 client renewals.

Adoption sped up threefold, and tech debt fell 35%+ with one less vendor platform to maintain and secure.

The problem

Insurance carriers run their claims in Guidewire ClaimCenter. ServicePower scheduled the field adjusters who go out and inspect the damage. Adjusters jumped between three separate screens to book a visit and then update the claim.

Scheduling from inside the claimAn adjuster in Guidewire ClaimCenter requests a visit. The accelerator passes it to ServicePower scheduling, which books a field adjuster. The build

An accelerator that puts ServicePower's scheduling inside the ClaimCenter screens adjusters already use. From a claim, an adjuster can request the right field resource, see appointment status, and reschedule or cancel the visit. It runs as a plugin inside ClaimCenter, which removed a separate vendor platform to maintain and secure.

Key calls

  1. Learned the platform before staffing the build.

Earned the Guidewire InsuranceSuite V10 developer certification in Gosu, Guidewire's language, so the accelerator met Guidewire's standards. Nobody else on either side held it.

  2. Built it inside Guidewire's own UI.

Discovery with 50+ insurance adjusters and service dispatchers moved the roadmap to Guidewire-native workflows. Adjusters stopped jumping between three screens.

  3. Stayed on after launch.

Worked with marketing on the collateral and with sales on the pitch, and demoed the accelerator to carrier executives.
